But, looks like the year is going to end on a great note on account of this big game officially being played under the COVID restriction guidelines.
After completing the most looked after professional cricket league IPL in UAE, the Indian and Australian players will march to Australia. The real setback will be when the players will have to quarantine themselves as per the government guidelines which is something that the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is worried about, on account of compromising his teams fitness during those days. The protocol is most likely to be carried forward and the players need to adhere by it.
The previous India tour of Australia saw an intense competition between the two teams with the visiting team emerging victorious. This time, however, the intensity will be manifolds as the host country is looking forward to claiming back the title.
Over a period, the Indo-Ozzie ties have strengthened on account of culture, sports, education etc. Recently popular on social media, was a glimpse where Australian prime minister Scott Morrison was seen enjoying Indian snack, samosa which in his terms was humorously quoted as “SCOMOSAS”.
In high spirits, Australian-Indian sports educational and cultural society (AISECS) as an organization has come forward and played a very important role in promoting and binding the bilateral ties. By using the rich cultural and sporting heritage that these two nations have in common, (AISECS) strives to establish strong prospective pathways.
The long-term plans and course of events that (AISECS) would deliver, will include the development and implementation of the cricket series between the Indian and Australian teams this summer. Previously, the Sydney cricket ground in 2018 awarded honorary membership to Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri. (AISECS) took the initiative to get the achievement of these Indian cricket legends acknowledged in Australia. On this occasion the former Counsel General of India to Sydney B.Vanlalvawna, CEO of Sydney Cricket Ground- Kerrie Mather, Chairman of Sydney Cricket- Tony Shepherd were present to facilitate both Virat Kohli & Ravi Shastri.
Having said that, the upcoming series will be a boon to the Indian community residing in Australia to witness one of the greatest international test series.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_hoverbox image=”15138″ primary_title=”” primary_title_font_container=”color:%23ffffff” hover_title=”Counsel General & AISECS Founder at Felicitation” use_custom_fonts_primary_title=”true”][/vc_hoverbox][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
